I hope to contribute to this wiki by adding content concerning older shmups. Shmups are arguably the oldest genre of video games and the continual development of them is fascinating. I also hope to contribute to the plot of these games. They can be scant and cliche but always fun!!! I am also somewhat of a collector of console shmups and could provide pictures or info on them if needed.

Hello all you weekend spaceship pilots!


I've been playing shmups since I was about 5 years old. Space Invaders on the Atari 2600 was my introduction to the genre. I would play them occasionally through the years but in the past 6 or 7 years, I've been a lot more dedicated to them. I play all types and vintages. I'm no super player but I enjoy setting personal goals and trying to achieve them.
