PCB refined and expanded many of the systems introduced in [[The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil]], while also introducing the concept of point item value (called Cherry in PCB), which would become a staple of Touhou scoring systems. While considered one of the easier Touhou games for a 1CC on most difficulties, PCB's scoring system is known for being complicated and requiring rigorous routing and intense grazing.
